Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted? 69 Those who cry lies to the Book and that wherewith We sent Our Messengers -- soon they will know! 70 When shackles will be on their necks and also chains; they will be dragged. 71 In boiling water; they will then be ignited* in the fire. (Like fuel – see verse 2:24) 72 It will then be asked of them: 'Where are those whom you associated, 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 Enter [now] the gates of hell, therein to abide: and how vile an abode for all who are given to false pride!" 76 So be patient [Prophet], for God's promise is true: whether We show you part of what We have promised them in this life, or cause you to die first, it is to Us that they will be recalled. 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
