Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
God has made devoid of all virtue the deeds of those who have disbelieved and prevented others from the way of God. 1 And those who believe and do good works and believe in that which is revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He riddeth them of their ill-deeds and improveth their state. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow the falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. And thus Allah propoundeth unto mankind their similitude. 3 So, when you clash with the unbelievers, smite their necks until you overpower them, then hold them in bondage. Then either free them graciously or after taking a ransom, until war shall have come to end. If God had pleased He could have punished them (Himself), but He wills to test some of you through some others. He will not allow the deeds of those who are killed in the cause of God to go waste. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition; 5 He will admit them into the Garden He has already made known to them. 6 O you who believe! if you help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make firm your feet. 7 But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds. 8 That is because they detest that which Allah hath sent down, and so He shall make of non-effect their works. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled through the earth, and seen what was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed them completely and a similar (fate awaits) the disbelievers. 10 This, because God is the Protector of all who have attained to faith, whereas they who deny the truth have no protector. 11
