Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
