We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
