The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
