Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 You shall know. 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
