Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the white forenoon 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
