Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
