The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Whereof do they question one another? 1 Of the mighty tiding 2 Regarding which they hold different views. 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 Surely, they will soon find out the truth! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse. 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs, 8 made sleep for you to rest, 9 And We have made the night a covering. 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 We have built above you seven mighty heavens, 12 And have appointed a dazzling lamp, 13 And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly, 14 That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs, 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 Indeed, the Day of Decision is an appointed time, 17 The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds; 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage. 20 Surely hell lies in wait, 21 a home for the transgressors, 22 for the rebellious ones and they will live therein for ages. 23 Neither coolness shall they taste therein nor any [thirst-quenching] drink 24 But boiling and intensely cold water, 25 A fitting recompense (for them). 26 They did not expect such a Judgment 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 'Taste! We shall not increase you except in punishment' 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
