Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
