And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
