Al-Isra 10 of 12
They ask you about "the spirit". Say: "The spirit descends by the command of my Lord, but you have been given only a little knowledge." 85 If We pleased We could take away that which We have revealed to you then you should find none to guard you against Us, 86 excepting by some mercy of thy Lord; surly His favour to thee is great. 87 Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants." 88 Indeed, We have set forth for mankind in this Koran every kind of parable, yet most people refuse all except disbelief. 89 They say: 'We will not believe in you until you make a spring gush from the earth for us, 90 or you (show) us that you have your own garden of palm trees and vines with flowing streams therein, 91 "Or thou cause the sky to fall in pieces, as thou sayest (will happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us) face to face: 92 or (show us) that you have a well adorned house of your own, or climb into the sky. We shall never believe that you have climbed into the sky until you bring us a book that we can read." Say, "All glory belongs to my Lord. Am I more than a mortal Messenger?" 93

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
