Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
