The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the shining star -- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
