Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
