The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created man out of a germ-cell 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
