Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters would never leave off; till the Clear Sign came to them, 1 an apostle from God, conveying [unto them] revelations blest with purity, 2 Containing correct scriptures. 3 Nor did the People of the Book(s) get divided until after the clear proof came to them. 4 And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. 5 Those who disbelieved – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. 6 The righteously striving believers are the best of all creatures. 7 Their reward [awaits them] with God: gardens of perpetual bliss, through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time; well-pleased is God with them, and well-pleased are they with Him: all this awaits him who of his Sustainer stands in awe!. 8
