Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
