Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
