Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
All praises and thanks be to Allah, Who (Alone) created the heavens and the earth, and originated the darkness and the light, yet those who disbelieve hold others as equal with their Lord. 1 He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves! 2 although He is God in the heavens and on earth, knowing all that you keep secret as well as all that you do openly, and knowing what you deserve. 3 Never came there unto them a revelation of the revelations of Allah but they did turn away from it. 4 So they disbelieved the truth when it came to them; but they will soon come to know the reality of what they had ridiculed. 5 Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others. 6 Had we sent down unto thee (Muhammad) (actual) writing upon parchment, so that they could feel it with their hands, those who disbelieve would have said: This is naught else than mere magic. 7 They say: "How is it no angel was sent down to him?" Had We sent an angel down the matter would have come to end, and they would have had no respite. 8 And had We made him an angel, We would still have made him a man, and We would have confounded for them that which they are confounding. 9 And certainly apostles before you were mocked at, but that which they mocked at encompassed the scoffers among them. 10
