Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
