۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 they have enraged us, 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 67 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 68
