Al-Masad

Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
