Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
