Proclaim, “Who guards you night and day from the Most Gracious?” In fact they have turned away from the remembrance of their Lord. 42 Or have they gods to defend them, other than Us? Indeed, they are unable to help themselves, neither shall they be guarded in safety from Us. 43 Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win? 44 Say thou: I only warn you by the revelation; and the deaf hearken not unto the call when they are warned. 45 And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers. 46 And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners. 47 To Moses and Aaron We granted the criteria of discerning right from wrong, and We gave them the light and a reminder to the pious ones 48 Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom). 49 And this is a blessed reminder that We have sent down. Will you then deny it? 50
