And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
