3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
