Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 'My curse shall rest on you until the Day of Recompense' 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 except those among them who are Your sincere worshipers' 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
