It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 When the two angels meet together, sitting one on the right, and one on the left, 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
