Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
