The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and shade extended, 30 and gushing water, 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
