And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
