The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What do they question each other about! 1 About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), 2 Concerning which they are in disagreement. 3 Nay, they will come to know! 4 Again surely yes, they will soon come to know! 5 Did We not make the earth a spreading, 6 and the mountains as pegs (to anchor the earth)? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 And made your sleep a rest. 9 And have appointed the night as a cloak, 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 And We built above you seven strong ones, 12 and have placed [therein the sun,] a lamp full of blazing splendour. 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. 14 to make the seeds, plants, 15 And gardens of thick growth. 16 Verily the Day of Decision is a time appointed. 17 The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds; 18 And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors, 19 and the mountains are set in motion, and become a vapour. 20 Surely, Hell lies in wait, 21 A place of resort for the inordinate, 22 They will abide therein for ages. 23 they shall taste in it no coolness, nor any pleasant drink 24 except boiling water and pus 25 a befitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning. 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 And all things have We preserved on record. 29 Therefore taste it now We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
