The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
