(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
