▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
