Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till a limit known? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
