The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)! 1 Arise and warn! 2 And proclaim the Purity of your Lord. 3 And thy garments keep free from stain! 4 And all defilement shun! 5 and do not think that by doing such deeds, you have done a great favor to God. 6 And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allah)! 7 Then when the horn shall be blown, 8 It will be a day of distress, 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave Me and him whom I created alone, 11 whom I have endowed with abundant riches, 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 And made life smooth and comfortable for him! 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 Never. He is refractory of Our signs. 16 I will cover him with arduous torment. 17 Verily, he thought and plotted; 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 Again, death seized him, how was his determining! 20 Then he beheld, 21 then he frowned and scowled, 22 Then he turned back and was proud; 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 I will cast him into the fire of Hell. 26 And what have you understood, what hell is! 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are nineteen. 30 And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
