Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 As a warning unto men, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
