Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it. 27 and raised its vault high and proportioned it; 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 and the earth-after that He spread it out, 30 and then brought from it its water and pastures. 31 and has made the mountains firm: 32 [all this] as a means of sustenance for you and your animals? 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 that blazing fire will truly be the goal! 39 But, whosoever feared the standing before his Lord and prevented the self from desires, 40 paradise will truly be the goal! 41 THEY WILL ASK thee [O Prophet] about the Last Hour: "When will it come to pass?" 42 what have you to do with the mentioning of it? 43 This matter is in the hands of your Lord. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46
