The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
