The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
