Al-Anfaal 7 of 10
Lo! the hypocrites say, and those in whose hearts is a disease: "These people,- their religion has misled them." But if any trust in Allah, behold! Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. 49 If you could only see the infidels as the angels draw away their souls and strike their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the torment of burning 50 "This is because of that which your hands had forwarded. And verily, Allah is not unjust to His slaves." 51 [To them shall happen] the like of what happened to Pharaoh's people and those who lived before them; they denied the truth of God's messages and so God took them to task for their sins. Verily, God is powerful, severe in retribution! 52 This is because Allah has never changed a favor which He has conferred upon a people until they change their own condition; and because Allah is Hearing, Knowing; 53 Their case is like that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them: they rejected the signs of their Lord as false and so We destroyed them for their sins, and caused the people of Pharaoh to drown. For they were wrong-doers all. 54 Indeed the worst beasts in the sight of Allah are the people who disbelieve and do not accept faith. 55 They with whom thou covenantedest, then they break their covenant every time, and they fear not. 56 So if you find them in battle, kill them in a manner which makes those behind them scamper back, in the hope that they may learn a lesson. 57 If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors. 58

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
