Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
