The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates); 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
