Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
