In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
