Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 separating one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
