The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 while they sat around it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
