Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
